A Journey through Made in Italy. The First Made in Italy Week in the United Arab Emirates

From April 14th to 17th, the United Arab Emirates will host “A Journey through Made in Italy”, a week-long voyage through Italian excellence that will take place in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. The event, organized by Italiacamp in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the General Consulate in Dubai, the Italian Cultural Institute, Challenge Network, and Triumph Group, aims to celebrate Made in Italy not just in manufacturing, fashion, and food, but primarily as an expression of research, art, creativity, enterprise, and craftsmanship.

This initiative is part of the celebrations for the National Day of Made in Italy, promoted by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, to enhance Italian excellence globally on the anniversary of Leonardo Da Vinci’s birth on April 15th.

The program includes workshops, meetings, exhibitions, and networking opportunities, with the participation of companies, startups, industry experts, and institutional representatives. This provides a unique opportunity to promote Made in Italy in a highly competitive and strategic international context.

On April 15th, the National Day of Made in Italy, the ambassador’s residence in Abu Dhabi will host an event dedicated to the evolution of the Italian identity, involving representatives from businesses, media, and institutions.

On April 16th, the event will move to the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park, one of the main centers in the UAE for research development, where discussions will be held between representatives from institutions, academia, and industry on innovation as a driver of growth and cooperation.

In Dubai, the Lamborghini Showroom will serve as the stage for an event dedicated to Italian luxury, providing an opportunity to delve into the dynamics of the Emirati market alongside some of the most significant brands in the industry, including Dolce & Gabbana, Bulgari Resort & Residences, Tod’s and Damiani.

The week will conclude on April 17th with an event at the Dubai Hub for Made in Italy by Italiacamp, during which the second edition of the publication “Success Stories – Italy of Ingenuity and Excellence Worldwide” by Roberto Santori, founder of the Made in Italy community, in collaboration with ANSA Agency, will be presented. This will be a moment of discussion and networking among leaders in entrepreneurship, culture, and innovation, designed to share successful internationalization experiences and promote new synergies between Italy and the UAE.

During the event, from April 15th to 20th, the General Consulate in Dubai will promote the Italian Lounge at Art Dubai, the largest contemporary art fair in the Middle East. The Lounge will host works by Italian artists and galleries, offering a space for dialogue and exploration of new perspectives on art, in a vibrant interaction between creativity and technology.

Leading up to the event, starting on April 11th, the Italian Cultural Institute will curate two exhibitions dedicated respectively to design and architecture and to the intersection of visual arts and fashion, hosted at the Canadian University of Dubai and the Italian Institute of Culture in Abu Dhabi.

With “A Journey through Made in Italy“, Italiacamp renews its commitment to the internationalization of Italian enterprises, promoting our country’s know-how and strengthening economic and cultural ties with one of the most dynamic regions in the world. This initiative aims to create shared value and build new opportunities for exchange between Italy and the United Arab Emirates.
