“Casa Toscana” project kicks off in Dubai
Dubai, May 5, 2025 – The Dubai Hub for Made in Italy by Italiacamp is hosting the activities of “Casa Toscana”, a project promoted by the Regional Council of Tuscany and implemented with Associazione Italiacamp. The initiative aims to support the internationalization of Tuscan businesses and provide a high-quality training opportunity for recent graduates.
A Space for the Internationalization of Tuscan Businesses
Following the successful experience in Silicon Valley, United States, companies and SMEs from the Tuscany Region now have a dedicated space within Italiacamp’s Hub in Dubai. This hub is designed to connect them with the Emirati economic and innovation ecosystem and to encourage their participation in the many international events and trade fairs held in the city.
Casa Toscana was officially inaugurated on May 5 by a delegation from the Regional Council of Tuscany, led by the Vice President of the Legislative Assembly, Stefano Scaramelli, accompanied by Vice President Marco Landi (representing the minority), Diego Petrucci, Secretary Councillor of the Office of the Presidency, and Regional Councillor Mario Puppa. Council President Antonio Mazzeo conveyed his institutional greetings through a video message, stating: “Bringing Tuscany to the world means giving our youth the opportunity to grow, learn, and engage with dynamic and international environments. With Casa Toscana in Dubai, we are delivering on a vision: building bridges between regions and providing tools to tackle global challenges.”
The Training Program
It’s not just about business: from May 5 to 9, eleven Tuscan students selected through a Regional Council call will take part in an intensive training program hosted within the hub—recognized as a key venue for promoting Italian excellence in the Emirati context.
The educational program, developed by Italiacamp, includes English-language lectures by experts in economics and markets, complemented by field visits to local businesses and organizations. Topics covered will focus on key areas for enhancing regional competitiveness, such as business development, investment, sustainable economy, Industry 4.0, and cybersecurity. Special attention will be given to the legal and institutional framework of the United Arab Emirates, with insights on Emirati corporate law, international taxation, commercial contracts, and economic cooperation. Beyond classroom sessions, students will participate in immersive experiences to gain a 360-degree understanding of Dubai, including a visit to the iconic Museum of the Future, which will mark the conclusion of the program.
Through this project, the Dubai Hub for Made in Italy confirms its role not only as an operational platform for positioning Italian companies in the MENA region but also as a connecting center for institutions, young talents, and businesses—supporting innovation and professional growth.
The project is part of the law on “Initiatives of the Regional Council for the realization of statutory objectives in the field of individual rights and the promotion of territorial identity”.
