Italiacamp EMEA Launches Its Advisory Board: A Bridge Between Italy and the Emirates for a Shared Future

Italiacamp EMEA officially launches its Advisory Board, a strategic body designed to strengthen the Dubai Hub for Made in Italy as a key platform for the internationalization of Italian businesses, institutional dialogue, and cultural exchange with the United Arab Emirates.

The inaugural meeting, held at the Dubai Hub for Made in Italy, marked the beginning of a collaborative journey between institutions, businesses, and key players in the Emirati ecosystem, aiming to foster shared and sustainable growth.

An Advisory Board to Drive International Expansion

The Advisory Board has been established to enhance Italy’s presence in the UAE, supporting strategic projects aligned with local priorities and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, the ten-year plan aimed at positioning Dubai among the world’s top three economies.

Board members will contribute to four key areas: internationalization and economic diplomacy, fostering structured dialogue with local institutions and investment funds; development of the entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem, supporting the international expansion of Italian companies; education and human capital development, in collaboration with Italian and Emirati academic institutions, including Luiss Business School; and promotion of Made in Italy and soft power, through cultural initiatives strengthening ties between the two countries.

A High-Profile Board to Lead Change

The Advisory Board brings together distinguished figures from the economic, institutional, and cultural sectors with extensive international experience:

  • Abdulbaset Mohammed Abdulla Al Janahi, CEO Corporate Support Services (DET)
  • Mohammed Alshehhi, Chairman, Euromercato
  • Benedetta Ghione, Executive Director, Art Dubai
  • Mirko Rubeis, Executive VP, Dubai Economic Development Corporation (DEDC)
  • Guido Fienga, Chairman, Italiacamp EMEA FZCO
  • Leo Cisotta, General Manager, Italiacamp EMEA FZCO
  • Maura Tavana, Senior Advisor, Italiacamp EMEA FZCO

This diverse leadership will enhance Italiacamp’s impact, facilitating strategic connections with local decision-makers and fostering key development initiatives.

Strategic Outlook for 2025

During its first meeting, the Board outlined key priorities for 2025, identifying concrete actions to strengthen Italiacamp’s role in the Emirates. Key areas of focus include: integration with Emirati economic strategies, maximizing the impact of Italian businesses within Dubai’s development plans; creating a supportive environment for Italian companies, offering targeted advisory services and access to local funding opportunities; expanding the cultural and educational ecosystem, through partnerships with universities and research centers to train a new generation of globally minded professionals; and active institutional engagement, fostering joint economic and cultural cooperation programs between Italian and Emirati institutions.
