Navigating Middle East Evolving Uncertainty: understanding the present to build the future

On April 15, on the occasion of Made in Italy Day, “Navigating Middle East Evolving Uncertainty” brought together Italian and Emirati institutions, industrial associations, and key stakeholders to discuss the Middle Eastern landscape and the emerging prospects for the economic systems of both countries.

The event was held in a hybrid format: the Opificio Italiacamp in Rome, the Hub for Made in Italy in Dubai, and multiple remote connections came together in a single conversation, linking participants who operate daily across both sides of this strategic relationship.

Participation reflecting the complexity of the moment

The response was broad and highly qualified, providing tangible evidence of the strength of a network that continues to demonstrate the value of its experience and expertise in moments of dialogue such as this.

The calibre of the participants, from both sides, enabled a comprehensive analysis of the current phase of uncertainty through multiple lenses — institutional, economic, financial, and industrial — offering a deep and multidimensional understanding of the context.

Dialogue as a method, networking as a result

The event marked a moment of renewed momentum and fully expressed our way of working. Bringing together diverse and relevant actors around the same table means providing the business community with a space where, through an in-depth reading of the context, knowledge can be developed and decisions can be guided with greater awareness.

In fostering this continuity of dialogue and in the ability to build, over time, a solid and coherent network of relationships, we can today measure the true value of the Italiacamp network.

The UAE as a strategic platform for Made in Italy

A shared perspective clearly emerged from the discussion: the United Arab Emirates represent a strategic platform that remains central to the future of Made in Italy.

The ability to navigate the complexity of the current situation has demonstrated the strength and potential of the Emirati ecosystem, confirming the opportunity to generate shared value through effective and long-term collaboration.

The discussion was attended by: Filippo Santelli, journalist, La Repubblica; Leo Cisotta, General Manager, Italiacamp EMEA; Abdulla Alsaboosi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Italy; Federico Eichberg,Head of Cabinet at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy; Mohamed Sharaf, COO FDI, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism; Mohammad Al Kassim, Director Europe & Americas, Dubai Chambers; Alessandra Salina Amorini, Lead Expert International Relations, Assolombarda; Ciro Aquino, MBA, Regional Manager Middle East, Head of Dubai Office, SACE; Roberto Luongo, Advisor of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy; Guido Fienga, Chairman, Italiacamp EMEA.
